What you'll be doing
As a Commercial Manager within Balfour Beatty, you will:
- Manage the financial performance of multi-million-pound projects from tender to delivery.
- Lead and develop commercial teams, supporting their growth and skills development.
- Oversee risk management, financial reporting, and subcontractor management.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value recovery, and margin improvement.
- Provide commercial leadership, ensuring accurate forecasting and early identification of risks.
- Support contract management, including warranties and compliance with governance processes.
- Collaborate across teams and projects to share best practices and drive innovation.
- Attend project and commercial meetings, audits, and reviews as required.
- Ensure projects meet customer requirements and comply with Balfour Beatty’s standards, values, and safety policies.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a Commercial Manager with the following:
- Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing commercial teams.
- Excellent financial management, forecasting, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
