Balfour Beatty has today featured in New Civil Engineer highlighting its Net Zero construction efforts on the Edinburgh Biomes project at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

In the article, Angela Pllu, Balfour Beatty’s Environmental Manager, and Colin Reid, Project Manager, explore the works that were carried out including building a modern biodome to provide the entry point to a rejuvenated glasshouse as well as some of the challenges faced using Net Zero construction methods and the lessons learnt.

Speaking about the methods used on the project, Pllu said: "It's more about the learnings and being honest with where we are so we can make meaningful change. We need to keep working together at it to get to a Net Zero construction site. Nothing we've discussed is not achievable - it just needs a bit more work to get us there."
