What you'll be doing
- Quantity Surveyor to be part of the Commercial Team delivering individual
packages within the HS2 Power project.
- Collate costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying
commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
- Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for
money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for
our customers.
- Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external
stakeholders.
- Contract administration with both client and subcontractors.
- Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes.
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional
certification.
Who we're looking for
- An organised, self-motivated Quantity Surveyor with knowledge and
experience of working on Projects and Portfolio’s.
- Skilled in commercial awareness, Client liaison, project management.
Understanding of the construction industry, flexibility, and a talent for
negotiation.
- Demonstration of working to deadlines, teamwork, working independently,
efficiently and to a high standard.
- Excellent communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen interest and experience in infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on NEC Contracts or similar.
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
- Working towards Chartered Member or the RICS, ICES or CIOB is preferred
but not essential.
