What you'll be doing
Some key responsibilities will be:
- Preparation / review of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans.
- Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.
- Support the team by providing clear instruction and direction, and by leading by example.
- Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any standards on the site which are considered by you as inadequate.
- Maintain good working relations with client and designer, together with our supply chain.
- Assist in the delivery of construction in accordance with agreed programme, budget/ forecast and Health and Safety objectives.
- Ensure Shift teams complete inspection and test plans as required by the Project Management
- Plan/Specification, including checks of dimension accuracy and quality.
- Ensure delivery of construction in accordance with regulations, processes and procedures appropriate to the discipline or specialist area supported.
Who we're looking for
What are we looking for?
- Civil Engineering or Mining qualification to HNC / Degree level and relevant professional tunnelling experience.
- Must hold a valid suitable grade of CSCS card.
- SMSTS / IOSH.
- Full experience of SCL/TBM/Secondary Lining works
- Ability to maintaining good relations with designer and client.
- Knowledge of Government legislation and Company policy on all matters relating to safety and environment.
- Thorough knowledge of construction procedures and working methods.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering sufficient to attain Chartered member level of MIMMM/ICE.
