What you'll be doing
- Drive the delivery of cabling activities to ensure they are delivered safely, on
time, to budget, meeting business and technical requirements.
- Monitor and plan sufficient resource levels within the Cabling Teams to
support the business in delivering on forecasted production output.
- Manage all technical queries or requests for Information for timely issue and
response.
- Implement technical change as required.
- Maintain a robust document control of all technical documentation and
information.
- Anticipate, manage, and resolve technical issues within the design cable
routes. Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised.
- Progress chasing to ensure critical events occur on the scheduled date.
- Monitor cabling teams output for productivity and quality.
- Keep up to date with specification and technical legislative changes.
- Ensure that non-conformances are recorded. Support the Quality Team with
the investigation of any reported non-conformances.
- Deliver toolbox talks and updates to company policies and procedures to
the Cabling Team
- Ensure that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual.

Who we're looking for
Cable Foreman – Experienced Operatives Wanted
We are seeking skilled Cable Foremen with a strong background in cable installation. Candidates must meet the following criteria:
✅ Experience: A minimum of three years as a Leading Cable Hand, with in-depth knowledge of IET Regulations, particularly regarding bending radii for various cable types and sizes. This includes power control, instrumentation, and special cables installed in trenches, racks, or cleats.
✅ Qualifications (Preferred but not essential):
Relevant industry experience as outlined above, plus an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Installing and Inspecting Structured Cabling Systems) or an equivalent VQ Level 3 for power supply and distribution cabling, as approved by the JIB.
Completion of an approved Health & Safety assessment or the Health & Safety unit within the VQ Level 3.
Those achieving a VQ Level 3 will be eligible to apply for an ECS Gold Card aligned with their JIB grade.
Equivalent Installation Grade: Approved Electrician
