About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee site operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, working on a key construction project in the South East.

What you'll be doing

As a General Foreman, you will:



  • Supervise and coordinate a team, including Foremen and logistics gangs, ensuring project milestones are met.

  • Manage and oversee subcontractors to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Lead and promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with Zero Harm policies.

  • Review and contribute to Work Package Plans, Risk Assessments, and Temporary Works solutions.

  • Conduct safety and environment tours, tool talks, and briefings to maintain industry-leading standards.

  • Monitor engineering controls, ensuring accurate setting out and quality control.
    Ensure a 'Right First Time' approach, improving efficiency and reducing material waste.

  • Provide input into weekly programming and monitor progress against key performance indicators.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including plant, labour, and materials.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovative solutions on site.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a General Foreman with:



  • Proven experience in a similar Foreman or supervisory role within construction.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate a team.

  • Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Familiarity with construction contracts (NEC and others) and commercial awareness.

  • Experience in working on high-profile infrastructure projects, preferably in safety-critical environments such as rail, nuclear, or power.

  • A valid CSCS card and a full UK driving licence.
