What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and promote a safety-first culture and adhere to all company practices,
procedures and relevant processes;
- Ensure work is delivered first time, defect free, handed back on time and on budget;
- Ensure maximum utilisation of resources in delivery of all works;
- Ensure all staff have the necessary skills and are competent to undertake all
duties safely, efficiently and to contract specification;
- Ensure track inspections are undertaken as stipulated in line with Network Rail
Standards;
- Be able to understand and interpret drawings;
- Undertake briefings on planned works to Subcontractors;
- Undertake submission of daily shift reports;
- Develop and maintain strong Client and Stakeholder relationships.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
- Have track renewal experience in a supervisory role, or working in a Railway
Construction Environment including delivery and installation of
Track;
- Have sound knowledge of Network Rail standards and company processes
and procedures;
- Possess collaborative and influential leadership skills;
- Be self-motivated and driven, with ability to multi-task, prioritise and remain
calm under pressure;
- Be a strong communicator using verbal and written methods with ability to
build relationships across the team on site;
- Be computer literate - proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook;
- Hold a full Driving Licence;
- Be SSSTS or SMSTS certified;
- Be PTS and COSS certified;
- Hold Track Back competency (desired but not essential).
