We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of innovative solutions for AMP8.


As Construction Manager you will lead on the management of quality, cost, and timely delivery of all construction activity carried out on site.  Managing the construction delivery team to ensure all construction activities are provided in compliance with the scheme deliverables from a developed solution at DM3, ready to go to site and project completion with an aspiration of Zero defects at DM4 in conjunction with the delivery team.


Whilst the role primarily focusses on managing construction delivery, you must always adopt a wider pan-Alliance view, modelling appropriate Alliancing behaviours and Leadership skills within integrated teams.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities:



  • Lead and inspire site construction teams, managing resources across multiple projects.

  • Ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery.

  • Review and approve RAMS, ensuring full compliance with safety standards.

  • Take ownership of constructability reviews, project rehearsals, and Fit for Assembly signoffs with the Project Delivery Manager.

  • Oversee workforce allocation, optimizing efficiency across partner companies.

  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to develop and implement construction phase plans.

  • Management of direct labour teams from all the different partner companies.

  • Work with other CMs in the alliance to allocate the direct workforce on a weekly basis, ensuring efficient allocation based on location, skill set and scheme duration.

  • Co-create and collaborate on the production, submission and compliance with construction phase plan with the Site Manager.

  • Experience managing operational resources in a multi-site construction environment.

  • SMSTS and Site Environmental awareness training scheme.

  • CSCS card (Manager level).

  • Minimum degree/HNC or equivalent qualification i.e., NVQ Level 6.

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Leaderships skills
