What you'll be doing
As a Street Lighting Operative, your main responsibilities will be as
follows:
• Maintenance of Lighting Columns, lighting brackets, Lanterns,
bollards and signs;
• The changing of lamps, lanterns, covers, electric cells, fuses,
capacitors, switches;
• Assist Street Lighting Electricians with fault finding and repair
• Assist with excavations for installations of Feeder Pillars,
Lighting columns, Signposts, Bollards, EV Charge points and
speed cameras;
• Management of on site point of work risk assessments
• Identify and report safety observations
• Set up and removal of site traffic management / pedestrian
Management;
• Responsible for company Property, Equipment and Vehicles;
Who we're looking for
The following qualities and experience are essential:
• An uncompromising approach to safety and desire to complete
your tasks right first time
• Excellent attention to detail & self-motivated;
• Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills;
• Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working
alone.
• Capable of working at height
• A good level of written and numerical skills.
• A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly.
• IT skills Excel, Word ability to use a Tablet / Apps.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
• ECS Card to relevant level
• CSCS/NPORS card;
• IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training;
• G39/1 Working in the vicinity of DNO
• NRSWA operative training;
• 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management;
• Manual Handling training;
• Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training.
