What you'll be doing


As a Street Lighting Operative, your main responsibilities will be as
follows:


Maintenance of Lighting Columns, lighting brackets, Lanterns,
bollards and signs.
The changing of lamps, lanterns, covers, electric cells, fuses,
capacitors, switches.
Assist Street Lighting Electricians with fault finding and repair
Assist with excavations for installations of Feeder Pillars,
Lighting columns, Signposts, Bollards, EV Charge points and
speed cameras.
Management of on-site point of work risk assessments
Identify and report safety observations
Responsible for site traffic management / Pedestrian
Management.
Responsible for company Property, Equipment and Vehicles.
Emergency call outs make safes.
Installation, repair and maintenance of street lighting assets,
including columns, lanterns, LED lantern replacements, beacons,
lamps, brackets, underground SWA cables, illuminated bollards,
illuminated signs, feeder pillars and subway lights.
Predominantly lone working, however there will be occasions
where team working is required. 
Painting of various street furniture. 
Ground excavations and reinstatement for installation works. 
Dynamic risk assessments. 
Responsible for company property, equipment and vehicles.
Stand-by rota for out of hours call-outs and emergencies.

Who we're looking for

The following qualities and experience are essential:



A strong work ethic and desire to complete your tasks right first
time
Excellent attention to detail & self-motivated.
Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills.
Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working
alone and to tight deadlines.
Capable of working at height.
You will have a good level of written and numerical skills.
A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly.
IT skills Excel, Word ability to use a Tablet / Apps.
Full clean UK Driving Licence.



Desirable Qualifications:



ECS Card to relevant level
CSCS/NPORS card;
IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training;
G39/1 Working in the vicinity of DNO
NRSWA operative training;
302.1 (12D) Traffic Management;
Manual Handling training;
Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training.
