What you'll be doing
As a Quality and Assurance Assistant (Rail Plant) you'll:
- Lead audits in the delivery of the Balfour Beatty Rail Plant (BBRP) annual audit assurance programme.
- Manage the internal Audit programme.
- Support/lead external audits of BBRP suppliers to ensure compliance with BBR requirements and industry standards.
- Support the business on close out of actions.
- Support compliance with relevant legislative and infrastructure managers requirements incorporating changes to relevant BBRP BMS documentation.
- Support BU Managers and Operational/Engineering Teams on:
- OTM/OTP compliance issues
- Digitisation of documentation/processes
- Development of new and review of current processes
- Support Business Units with training on BBAMS, BBRP Engineering and Operational Hub, Autodesk BIM Field 360 and the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Manage and develop relevant BBRP operational delivery, compliance and engineering reports.
- Manage the BBRP assets technical files.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Ability to work closely with people and have a charismatic personality which nurtures engagement
- Ability to communicate with people from all levels of the business
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in the Microsoft 365 environment, specifically SharePoint.
- A passion for safety and ensuring everyone goes home safe
- Sound understanding of managing within a highly regulated environment
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Experience of OTM/OTP engineering and maintenance quality processes
- Knowledge of rail industry technical and safety standards
- Quality Management Qualifications & Experience
- IOSH
- Lead auditor/auditor trained
- Principle investigator
