What you'll be doing
As a Fire Detection Engineer you will have the following responsibilities,
- To provide safety advice and guidance relating to the installation of the Fire
Detection and subsequent systems.
- To develop the MEH Alliance Joint Venture Fire detection scope delivery strategy.
- To support the building delivery teams in preparing the documentation required for the installation of the Fire detection and associated works.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of the Fire detection scope across all the areas and
buildings by providing timely and relevant information to all area and building
- Promote and maintain health and safety to support a positive Nuclear Safety
- Risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Support the planning and training of the blue-collar trades required for the scope.
- Liaise and coordinate with the execution designers, EPM team and equipment
manufacturers to ensure that the full installation requirements are known and
interfaces are identified and resolved.
- Liaise and coordinate with the equipment manufacturers regarding product
familiarisation and factory training where required.
- Liaise with the completions team regarding the process for closing out the MEH
JV obligations prior to handing the scope over to the commissioning team.
Who we're looking for
Do you have?
- A Degree in HND /HNC Engineering or suitable experience in construction project Engineering/ management.
- A good working knowledge of Fire detection installations and aspirating systems
- An understanding of fire installation standards and principles
- Up-to-date knowledge of workplace/construction Health and Safety
- Can achieve a high-level security clearance.
