What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will:
- Carry out assessments and training of the BB Rail business unit mentors, assessors, and trainers in accordance with ORR RSP1 & RSP4;
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures on Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental;
- Ensure all competence assessments are conducted to meet prevailing standards;
- Develop and execute robust assessment plans;
- Ensure all staff are trained & assessed to the required standard following Company Policies and Procedures;
- Ensure all administration is maintained to a high level and is kept up to date for auditable purposes;
- Communicate with the Maintenance Department on any issues, which may affect your working plans to ensure the deliverance;
- Adapt to any operational procedures which may alter to benefit the improvement within the business;
- Ensure NCR’s on audits are kept to a minimum and that any recommendations are actioned upon promptly;
- Plan, develop and deliver bespoke training courses;
- Maintain route knowledge and machine competence.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- A thorough knowledge of, and experience in, the industry;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a OTM Driver Operator role;
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation/risk management/COSHH awareness;
- Training and assessing qualifications as per national standards e.g. C21, C&G 7331, D32, D33 & RSA1;
- A thorough knowledge of OTM activities, machine specific its limits including safety operation and output ability;
- Organised, concise reporting/logging ability via various mediums;
- IT literate;
- Being able to problem solve under pressure and be responsible and accountable for all actions issued;
- Current PTS certificate and driving licence;
- Good time management, strong administrative and effective communication skills.
