Balfour Beatty Plc and its group affiliates (“Balfour Beatty”, “we”, “our”) will always process your personal data recorded and provided via the Microsoft Teams webinar application (“Teams”) in accordance with the following policies i) for employees: the Balfour Beatty Employee Privacy Notice (found on Balfour Beatty’s Business Management System) and ii) for non-employees: the Balfour Beatty Corporate Privacy Notice (which you can find here).
In addition to Balfour Beatty’s privacy notices, we want to make you aware that we will process your data which you provide, or which is observed, via Teams including:
- Name
- Email address
- Company
- Registration Date
- Webinar attendance data (entry / exit times)
- Marketing consent
Balfour Beatty will only process your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and/or and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) (“GDPR”) as applicable.
Legal Basis / Purpose: Balfour Beatty processes your personal data under its legitimate interests in order to be able to provide you with webinar services on Teams.
Where you have consented to marketing, on the registration page, Balfour Beatty will continue to process your data under consent, until such a time that you unsubscribe.
You have the right to object to Teams webinar processing, however if you object Balfour Beatty will not be able to provide you with webinar services. You can withdraw your consent to marketing, if you opt-in on registration, by either informing the webinar host or unsubscribing using the link in any Balfour Beatty marketing email.
Automated Decision Making / Profiling: Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will not use any of your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Third Parties: Balfour Beatty will use a third-party webinar provider, Microsoft Corporation, to maintain and provide the webinar services. Microsoft Corporation and the Teams App security posture has been approved by Balfour Beatty Group IT’s Cyber Security Team.
Retention: Balfour Beatty will only store your personal data, in relation to Teams webinars, for as long as necessary for Balfour Beatty to process such personal data for the purposes as set out in this Privacy Notice and for no longer than 30 days. We will retain your personal data for longer if you opt-in to receive marketing material from Balfour Beatty.
