Building Sustainable Futures webinars
Delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK, including in sectors such as Nuclear and Defence, relies on a capable and resilient supply chain.
With 73% of our suppliers being small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs), many face barriers around procurement, compliance and training. Supporting these partners is essential to reducing risk and enabling them to thrive alongside us. To address this, we developed the EDGE Academy to strengthen supplier capability and reduce risk. The free learning programme is delivered through the Supply Chain Sustainability School’s online platform and includes a series of micro‑learning videos, modules, resources and assessments designed with experts.
The programme covers a wide range of topics including quality assurance, cybersecurity, contract management, sustainability and nuclear safety.
The pilot has already seen strong engagement, with 148 suppliers enrolled - 95% of which are SMEs – and more than 10 hours of training delivered.
By removing barriers to learning and tailoring content to supplier needs, the EDGE Academy is helping build a more resilient supply chain while strengthening collaboration and long‑term performance.
