Balfour Beatty’s Security Manager, Bradley King, has featured on BBC Morning Live alongside the Metropolitan Police, discussing the growing issue of tool theft across the construction and infrastructure industry.
Together, the discussion highlighted why tool theft remains a persistent challenge for workers and employers alike, as well as the simple, effective measures that can help protect equipment and project delivery. Speaking on the scale of the problem in the industry, Bradley says: “they’re estimating around £800 million a year going to theft. It is absolutely a problem right across the construction industry.”
