Balfour Beatty is expanding its leading construction operations, offering specialised building services for the delivery of premier projects across the communities of Richmond and Hampton Roads in Virginia.
As part of the company’s Buildings team in the Mid-Atlantic, the Richmond and Hampton Roads office strengthens Balfour Beatty’s market presence in the federal, institutional, and higher education sectors, while supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives in key local markets.
Building upon its established 93-year presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, Balfour Beatty’s legacy operations in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania have cultivated strong industry relationships and demonstrated construction excellence across diverse market sectors.
The Richmond and Hampton Roads team complements existing Mid-Atlantic operations, leveraging extensive local experience and industry partnerships demonstrated in landmark projects such as the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Stonebridge Associates’ Carlyle Crossing, ZOM Living’s Hazel & Azure at National Landing, Hoffman & Associates’ The Wharf, the Air Force Communications Center at Joint Base Andrews, and JBG SMITH’s The Zoe and Valen on South Bell Street.
Dan Novack, President of Mid-Atlantic Operations at Balfour Beatty, said: “The Richmond/Tidewater expansion reflects our strategic commitment to strengthening our presence in Virginia’s most dynamic markets.
“This region offers tremendous opportunities in the federal, institutional, mission-critical, and higher education sectors, and our expanded footprint will allow us to better serve clients while creating meaningful career opportunities for our construction professionals. Our local team’s expertise will leverage our Mid-Atlantic legacy of excellence to deliver transformative projects that support the region’s continued growth.”
Balfour Beatty’s Richmond and Hampton Roads team is actively engaged in several significant projects in the region, including the construction of the William & Mary West Woods and Jamestown East Housing and Dining project, and key projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers, including a Battalion Complex and the F-22 Low Observable Composite Repair Facility (LOCRF). The team most recently broke ground on a new Army Aviation Support Facility adjacent to Richmond Airport, further demonstrating its capabilities and presence in the local market.
