What you'll be doing
As an Apprentice Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll be a safety role model on site. You’ll help teams work safely, support wellbeing, and follow health and safety rules.
You will work in close collaboration with your Health & Safety colleagues to support the delivery of our UK HS&E Strategy. You'll contribute to the implementation, delivery and review of the Zero Harm Action Plan and Sustainability Action Plan at a business and/or project level.
Over time, you'll learn to provide exert advise to support in investigating accidents, incidents and near miss events in accordance with Balfour Beatty Group standards and company requirements. This role will provide you with the opportunity to spend lots of time on site.
Who we're looking for
To thrive in this position, we expect that you have clear interest in developing a career in Health and Safety.
You'll be completing an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, where you might also have the opportunity to participate in additional related courses.
As you will be required to spend time on site, it would be helpful to hold a UK Drivers License at this stage or be working towards your Drivers License.
