About the role


We are seeking a Quality Advisor to join our team, supporting the delivery of a major 400kV substation project at Ryhall, now entering the construction phase following contract award.


This is a critical role focused on ensuring right-first-time delivery, driving quality excellence, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, SR241, and client requirements. You will play a key role in preventing defects, reducing the cost of quality, and embedding best practice across the project and wider portfolio.


What you'll be doing

 



  • Support compliance close-out activities (NCR/CAPA, audits, and documentation)

  • Provide Quality Assurance support across the wider portfolio during early project stages

  • Deliver training and development to prepare teams for full mobilisation

  • Manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and progressive assurance as construction ramps up

  • Drive defect prevention, continuous improvement, and reduction in the cost of quality

  • Ensure audit readiness and client assurance throughout delivery

  • Support digital handover systems (ACC-Forma, FastDraft, SharePoint)

  • Contribute to Quality Action Plans at contract and business level

  • Facilitate quality management planning, including industry-specific requirements

  • Provide advice, coaching, and training on quality matters

  • Support external audits, certifications, and accreditation processes

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements

  • Contribute to tender and bid processes where required

  • Produce reports and management information

  • Champion Zero Harm, sustainability, and continuous improvement


 

Who we're looking for


Essential:



  • Strong understanding of Quality Management principles

  • Ability to coach and influence teams

  • Strong relationship-building skills with project teams and stakeholders

  • Working towards or holding CQI Practitioner status

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


Desirable:



  • Experience within infrastructure, utilities, or construction sectors

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail with the ability to deliver tasks to completion

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

  • Self-motivated with strong time management

  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
