What you'll be doing

As an Environmental & Sustainability Graduate, you’ll help make construction greener.


You’ll support teams to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-friendly ways of working. You’ll learn about sustainability policies, green practices, and how to drive positive change on site.


At Balfour Beatty, we’re proud to be delivering the transformative Skye Overhead Line and Cable Project - reinforcing the high-voltage electricity network between Ardmore on the Isle of Skye and Fort Augustus on the mainland!

This vital infrastructure upgrade will strengthen energy resilience across the region, ensuring a secure and reliable supply for Skye and the Western Isles for generations to come.


This project isn't just about cables and towers; it’s about connecting new renewable energy sources to the grid and helping the UK reach Net Zero and is one of the most unique projects in the UK.

Who we're looking for

For Graduates with a degree in a relevant field, our programme offers formal training and on-the-job learning, with a strong focus on career progression and growth opportunities.


It’s designed to help you transition into your chosen field and build a successful career path. To be eligible, you must obtain a minimum 2:2 Honours degree before starting the role.


This role involves regular site-based visits, including travel on-site and between locations. Before joining Balfour Beatty, you must hold a full UK driver's license.
