Balfour Beatty is proud to be working in partnership with Rolls-Royce on a flagship project in Derby, supporting the development and enhancement of world-class engineering and manufacturing facilities. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated CAD Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality technical drawings and design support across a complex and fast-paced project environment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and project managers, contributing to the successful planning and execution of critical infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

As a CAD Technician you will:



  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings in line with project specifications

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to develop technical solutions

  • Update and maintain drawing records and documentation

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and project requirements

  • Assist in design coordination and clash detection where required

  • Support the delivery team with technical drawing queries and revision

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:



  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician within construction, engineering, or infrastructure

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Understanding of engineering drawings and design principles

  • Relevant qualification in CAD, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
