About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Site Foreman to join our team on the high-profile Substation Apollo project in Bridgwater. This is a key leadership role on a major infrastructure development that will play a critical part in supporting the region’s power network.


As Site Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, coordinating trades and subcontractors, and ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong build experience who is confident managing structural and civil elements, driving productivity on site, and maintaining strict health and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.


The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, particularly in heavy build environments such as substations, infrastructure projects, or large-scale industrial developments. You will be proactive, organised, and capable of motivating your team while maintaining clear communication with site management and project stakeholder

What you'll be doing

As a Site Foreman you will:




  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities




  • Lead site operatives and subcontractors to deliver works efficiently




  • Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme




  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality control




  • Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks




  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders




  • Monitor progress and report on site performance.



Who we're looking for

You will have the following:




  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman within construction/build projects




  • Strong background in concrete, groundwork, and structural build elements




  • Experience working on infrastructure or substation projects (desirable)




  • Valid CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred)




  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification




  • First Aid at Work (preferred)




  • Strong leadership and communication skills




  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
