What you'll be doing
In this role, you’ll support the coordination and administration of training, induction and workforce compliance activities across the GSA sites.
You’ll maintain accurate training and certification records, monitoring expiry dates and renewal schedules to ensure continued compliance with mandatory requirements. By liaising with approved training providers, you’ll help arrange courses, confirm onboarding and support the development of site capability.
You’ll organise and book site inductions for new starters and visitors, maintain induction records, and ensure timely updates to access and security systems. Working closely with operational and HSE teams, you’ll help align training and induction processes with project risks and regulatory standards.
You’ll manage the Learning & Development database used across the Alliance, generate compliance and performance reports for project stakeholders, and respond to workforce-related queries from site teams and HR departments. Through accurate record keeping, you’ll support audits, inspections and governance requirements.
In addition, you’ll support the Workforce Manager with labour coordination and resource planning, helping to track mobilisations, demobilisations and workforce availability. You’ll assist in maintaining labour plans and communicating updates to site teams to ensure the project remains fully resourced and aligned with programme demands.
Throughout the role, you’ll ensure all workforce data is handled in line with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for an organised, detail-oriented and proactive individual who enjoys working in a people-focused, operational environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support.
You’ll ideally have experience in a training, workforce or HR administration role within construction or infrastructure, along with a strong understanding of compliance and certification requirements. You’ll bring excellent organisational and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with site teams, managers, training providers and alliance partners.
You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, and have experience working with training, induction or workforce management systems. A good understanding of construction training frameworks and data protection requirements will support your success in the role.
Experience working within a multi-company alliance or joint venture environment, familiarity with piling-specific training needs, and knowledge of certification schemes such as CSCS, CPCS and NPORS would be advantageous. A qualification in Business Administration, HR or Learning & Development is also desirable.
Most importantly, you’ll demonstrate a collaborative mindset, a commitment to safety and compliance, and a genuine desire to contribute to a nationally significant project that will leave a lasting legacy.
