We are one of only a few specialist providers with the ability to operate across the transmission and distribution spectrum from Low Voltage (LV) to Extra High Voltage (EHV), with a special focus on 132kV to 400kV. We provide a portfolio of services that includes the ability to assess scheme feasibility and scope the detailed requirements of a contract in advance of design and construction.

Covering both the onshore and offshore high voltage (HV) and extra high voltage (EHV) assets we deliver across long-term operation and maintenance contracts, installation EPC and responsive repair frameworks. With a long heritage in power transmission and distribution delivery, we operate and maintain transmission assets on behalf of asset owners, working under annual maintenance contracts covering substations, converters and transmission cables and general repairs and faults. We also provide integrated asset management services, including subsea surveys, condition assessments, planned maintenance and inspections, fault identification and monitoring.
For installation projects we provide the specialist skills needed to construct and lay cables on and offshore including near-shore works such as horizontal directional drilling and undertaking all aspects of cable jointing and terminations. With specialist expertise in control and protection systems, our substations team is one of the leading high voltage substation suppliers in the UK. Supported by in-house design and programme management expertise, we manufacture, install, test and commission extra high voltage (EHV) and high voltage (HV) substations, including all associated civil work.
As a specialist substation systems integrator, we have the flexibility to offer switchgear and automation products from a range of manufacturers, supporting bespoke project requirements.

Control & protection
Control and protection solutions are a key element in providing safe, efficient and reliable power transmission networks. Tailoring our solutions to customer’s individual needs, we work across a number of applications, including transmission substations, distribution substations, power stations and wind farms. Our approach is supported by our engineering and design teams who specify, engineer, build and test through to final commissioning on-site.
Computer control systems
Our teams provide the in-house expertise needed to integrate equipment and systems seamlessly, assuring the delivery of efficient and reliable automated computer control and monitoring schemes. Our approach is supported by our engineering and design teams who specify, engineer, build and test through to final commissioning on site. Commissioning is an integrated process, including all power/control interfaces, ensuring a full operational system is delivered and installed to specification.
Outdoor package substations
Providing a customised solution to meet individual specifications, we offer a fully integrated solution for distribution substations. Designed in-house, with assembly, fit-out and testing at our own premises, and installation and commissioning on site, our off-site manufacturing techniques deliver significant reductions in cost and installation time.
Switchgear support structures
We offer a range of aluminium and steel switchgear support structures suitable for outdoor air insulated switchgear applications in transmission substations, distribution substations, power stations and wind farms.
