Founded in 1952, Heery International, Inc. provides full service architecture, interior design, engineering, facility management, construction management and programme management services.

The company has revenues of over $1 billion annually and employs over 1,500 people throughout 30 offices in the US, with a presence in Europe. The company is responsible for approximately $6 billion in projects per year.

Its core markets include aviation, corporate and industrial, healthcare, K-12 education, higher education, government, sports and justice. Heery has also created a wholly-owned subsidiary, Heery America, Inc., for clients that require clearances to conduct work on classified projects or within classified spaces.

Heery International reached the $1 billion in revenues mark in 2008 as a result of new business and acquisitions. Acquisitions are carefully reviewed to verify that they complement Heery’s existing business, long-term strategy and corporate culture. The latest acquisition occurred in June 2008, when Heery acquired Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc., the largest builder and construction manager in San Diego, as ranked by the San Diego Business Journal and San Diego Daily Transcript.
