Hector MacAulay MBE, Managing Director of Balfour Beatty’s Regional business in Scotland, has featured in New Civil Engineer discussing the importance of school outreach as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

The piece shines a light on The Big School Visit, Balfour Beatty's education outreach project which aims to visit as many primary schools as possible in Scotland to talk about the exciting careers in construction.

Discussing the project, Hector said: “Initiatives like the Big School Visit can play a crucial role in eradicating outdated perceptions about careers in construction. By engaging with primary school students and showcasing the diverse and exciting opportunities available, we can inspire young people to consider apprenticeships in the construction industry."
