Balfour Beatty charity ball raises over £25,000 for Clyde Cash for Kids

22 June 2018

UK

Balfour Beatty has helped to raise over £25,500 for Clyde Cash for Kids as part of its commitment to supporting local communities.

The charity ball and auction, held at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, saw Balfour Beatty’s regional construction business in Scotland and Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, its mechanical and engineering services business, join together with its employees, customers and supply chain partners to raise funds for local children.

Clyde Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in communities across the UK, supporting children who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

Simon Lafferty, Managing Director for Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, said: “Wherever we operate, we seek to integrate within the neighbourhood, supporting the local community, its businesses and its workforce. Our annual charity ball and auction is yet another example of the way in which we are collaborating across our business to help the most disadvantaged young people in society.

“The ball was a great success and I would personally like to thank our customers, employees and supply chain partners for attending and donating so generously.”

Debbie Fraser, Regional Charity Manager for Cash for Kids, said: “We are delighted to be working with Balfour Beatty again and their donation will make a huge difference to disadvantaged children this summer. It is only with the support of organisations such as Balfour Beatty that we can continue to make a difference.”
