About the role


Bring your building services experience to one of the UK's most significant new energy projects


Balfour Beatty is building the skilled workforce that will help deliver the Building Fitout works on Net Zero Teesside Power, and we're looking to hear from experienced Duct Fitters interested in joining us.


Net Zero Teesside Power is a major part of the UK's transition towards a lower-carbon energy future, bringing together power generation and carbon capture technology on a major scale, creating an exciting new chapter for energy and engineering on Teesside.





This is an opportunity to bring your ventilation and ductwork installation skills to a major engineering and construction programme and play a hands-on role in delivering new UK energy infrastructure.


This is a site based role in Teesside.

What you'll be doing


We're looking to connect with experienced Duct Fitters as we prepare our Building Fitout workforce for the next stages of the project.


We're particularly interested in people experienced in the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems within commercial, industrial or major-project environments.


Your experience might include:



  • Installation and assembly of ductwork systems

  • Ventilation systems

  • Installation of ductwork supports and associated components

  • Installation of grilles, diffusers and other system components

  • Working from drawings and specifications

  • Measuring, positioning and installing ductwork accurately

  • Working within plant rooms and building service areas

  • Testing, completion and commissioning support

  • Coordinating installations with other building services trades


Who we're looking for


You'll be an experienced Duct Fitter who takes pride in producing safe, accurate and high-quality installations.


We're keen to hear from people who can demonstrate:



  • Previous ductwork installation experience within a building services, construction or industrial environment

  • Experience installing ventilation and associated ductwork systems

  • The ability to accurately interpret and work from drawings

  • Strong understanding of safe working practices

  • Commitment to quality and right-first-time delivery

  • Ability to work effectively alongside electrical, mechanical and other building services trades

  • A professional attitude and pride in your workmanship
