The importance of apprenticeships in the words of Bethany Welsh, a Balfour Beatty Apprentice

Last week, Bethany Welsh, a Trainee Civil Engineer currently on Balfour Beatty’s apprenticeship scheme spoke to The Daily Record, a Scottish newspaper based in Glasgow, about the importance of Apprenticeships and the benefits that they provide in support of The Scottish Apprenticeship Show.

Balfour Beatty is committed to promoting the wide range of opportunities available within the construction industry and to bridging the skills gap that the industry currently faces. The Company is a member of The 5% Club, a UK employer-led initiative focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the workforce.

These are suitable for schools leavers and post-A-level students who want to learn and earn on a structured training scheme and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
