What you'll be doing
To lead the efficient delivery and management of Balfour Beatty’s company car operations, ensuring optimal utilisation, compliance, and enhanced customer experience. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, delivering continuous improvement, and aligning operations with the company’s strategic objectives in Health and Safety, Sustainability, and profitability.
• Oversee logistics and delivery of company cars, working closely with movement coordinators and Customer Experience Executives.
• Manage repairs, maintenance, and end-of-hire assessments to minimise costs and downtime.
• Drive digitalisation efforts to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and execute long-term strategies aligning with business goals.
• Manage and deliver continuous improvement to health & safety of our people and others we interface with
• Support senior management in shaping and implementation of a clear long-term strategy for the business aimed at delivering high quality profitability aligned to the budget and three-year plan
• Build and maintain healthy, collaborative relationships with suppliers and customers
• Helping to drive the continuous improvement agenda for the business, focusing on Safety, Quality, Innovation and Energy
Who we're looking for
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• Holds Health and Safety as a core value
• Excellent IT skills - focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint and adaptability to new systems
• Ability to manage businesses challenges and opportunities to deliver effective performance
• Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiation
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation and externally
• Experience in managing operations / projects
• Clear drive and ambition
Desirable:
• Working knowledge of construction industry with cards / certs (e.g. CSCS card)
• Proven, effective Project Management skills with qualification
• Operations / management qualification(s)
• Working knowledge of the hire industry
