What you'll be doing
key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure the consistent application of Balfour Beatty’s Group Minimum Commercial Expectations and Business Management Systems (BMS) through expert advice, reviews, and audits.
- Provide commercial support during work-winning processes, including contract reviews, negotiation of revised conditions, tender joint venture and design agreements, and risk assessment for tender reviews.
- Support project commercial teams in delivering robust commercial solutions.
- Assist in customer and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with project and business objectives.
- Lead subcontracting strategies for strategic bids and ensure subcontracting consistency across live projects.
- Contribute to dispute resolution strategies and assist in developing effective management processes.
- Review key commercial mechanisms, including contracts, bonds, and warranties, to maintain a consistent approach across project sectors.
- Support group-wide initiatives, maximizing opportunities for digital innovation and LEAN methodologies.
- Develop and deliver commercial training, including training on commercial systems and processes.
