About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager to join the Enabling Functions Team in Derby on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. 


 

What you'll be doing

Accountabilities:



  • Manage property transactions for the Contract Estate within agreed thresholds.

  • Draft licence agreements.

  • Obtain internal approvals.

  • Advise internal clients on property matters.

  • Manage external suppliers including solicitors, surveyors.

  • Review licence lease documents and advise appropriately.

  • Handle landlord & tenant matters having knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.

  • Co-ordination of other Surveyors in the team.

Who we're looking for

Essential Skills:



  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills and strong attention to detail for meticulous record keeping; providing support working in a fast-paced environment to meet targets and deadlines.

  • Strong communication and relationship skills.

  • Full clean driving licence (travel is required).

  • Strong IT skills, confident using Microsoft office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative.

  • Experience of working in commercial property.

  • Property management knowledge would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

  • Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and general property law.

  • Ability to be within a Balfour Beatty Office/Site a minimum of 3 days per week.
