What you'll be doing
Some key responsibilities will be:
- End to end management of the project, to include scheme development and engagement through the life of the project with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractors.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activities.
- Commercial management of the project, including cost plan, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial team.
- Commission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.
- Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team.
- Adhere and apply the project governance procedure, including leading in presentations both virtual and in person with preparation of the supporting documentation to pass through project gateways.
- Routine reporting on project schedule / progress, risk and commercial status of the project internally and to the Client.
- Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.
- Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities and business plan objectives.
Working arrangements
- Ability and willingness to travel to other offices for meetings on the network as and when required.
- Periodic requirement for site visits (night shift H&S audit)
Who we're looking for
We are looking for the following:
- Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification, PRINCE2, APMP.
- Broad skills, knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areas.
- Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering.
- Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of Contract.
- Full UK driving Licence

- Preference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification
