What you'll be doing
As a Section Engineer you will:
- Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and undertakes periodic reviews
- Prepare and raise Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation
- Carry out complex setting out when required
- Produce Activity Control Plans / Inspection and Test Plans and obtains approval;
- Actively uses the Specification for reference and coaches junior team members in using the Spec
- Ensure that Site Engineers complete the required quality check sheets on a timely basis for the works
- Produce a weekly programme and measures progress against KPI’s
- Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce
- Liaises with subcontractors to ensure works undertaken in line with weekly programme.
- Maintain accurate diary, including dialogue with external subcontractors.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- BSc/HND in Civil Engineering
- Experience of working on a NEC Civil Engineering project
- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately. Suggests improvements to systems
- Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified
- Must be a strong team player, with developed communication skills.
