Balfour Beatty have a new opportunity for a Planner to join our growing regional civils team in East Anglia to support on multiple projects and SCOPE frameworks. Working across multiple projects in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, this new role offers the opportunity to gain fast-track experience across multiple disciplines and sites.


You will interact and become a key member of the project delivery team providing a quality service to support the effective delivery of the ongoing projects and supporting on ECI and Pre-Con for new contracts.

What you'll be doing

Progressing your career as a Planner with our growing business, you’ll:



  • Provide & update weekly planning datain project controls systems

  • Produce detailed planning reports at to support construction teams

  • Identifying quantities and factors affecting the programme from live information at site

  • Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements

  • Establishing and agreeing with all relevant stakeholders construction outputs and associated working hours.

  • Establishing and agreeing with stakeholders key methodsof construction, sequencing, installation, and handoverto commissioning.

  • Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations, and reports.

  • Produce ad-hoc detailed schedules (lifting, temporary works schedules e.g. CBS, scaffolding etc.)

  • Support the Senior Planner with ECI and Pre-Construction work on other projects in the region

Who we're looking for


  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification to ONC/HNC/Degree level or equivalent

  • Experience using Asta (Power Project)

  • Experience working on infrastructure project or frameworks is desired but not essential
