Painter Brothers is one of the UK's leading specialist in structural steel manufacture. We have the capacity to produce in excess of 15,000 tones of steelwork each year. What you'll be doing


  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure all work is completed safely, on time and correctly.

  • Support all site facilities including security and repairs/maintenance to building and site.

  • Introduce and manage a PPM regime to cover all plant, equipment and facilities.

  • Source and manage external contractors for Plant, equipment and facilities maintenance.

  • Point of contact for BB IT.

  • Establish, monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality and delivery of maintenance activity.

  • Leading and facilitating a continuous improvement culture within the maintenance team.

  • Monitor and manage equipment inventory (spares).

  • Manage maintenance spend.

  • Keep maintenance logs covering all activity.

  • Ensure that the maintenance team for comply with all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental.

  • Improving key performance indicators for Environmental, Health & Safety, Productivity, Quality, Scrap and Housekeeping.

  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Production Foreman.

Who we're looking for


  • Experience of working collaboratively within a team environment  and meeting key manufacturing deadlines.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Possess current and relevant knowledge of process manufacturing best practice.

  • To take personal responsibility & accountability for actions, constantly striving to improve and exceed expectations ensuring safety and quality are never compromised.

  • Able to read drawings and understand and complete documentation relating to processes within the work place.

  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and can maintain and safe and clean working environment
