What you'll be doing
- Supervise a commercial team of 35 surveyors
- Coordination of buying, accounts, production control/planning, supply chain management & procurement techniques, estimating & surveying functions.
- Management and reporting of Commercial Risk and Opportunity.
- Establish client supply chain requirements & advise on alternative forms of contract & procurement arrangements.
- Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports.
- Report and explain the commercial progress to senior divisional staff.
- Manage feedback of commercial data to Planning, Estimating, Marketing and Sales.
- Formulate management plans for resource procurement.
- Support the review tenders & cost data.
Who we're looking for
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Member or fellow of RICS, ICES or CIOB.
- Experience managing the commercial performance in complex infrastructure projects at a senior level.
- Experience leading commercial teams and managing teams' performance development reviews, associated training including professional requirements, and succession planning opportunities.
- Experience of financial and commercial control within complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience of managing audits on Target Cost Contracts.
- Experience in the recruitment and retention of staff, including interviewing staff.
