What you'll be doing
The chosen candidate will carry out a variety of tasks throughout the summer period based on a 35-hour week (Mon-Fri) ranging from servicing of the On-Track Machines to complete component overhauls including fault finding/repairs.
In the Autumn/Winter period, we move into our busy delivery period where we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The candidate would assist with the operational running of the depot to ensure machines are available for delivery and will be carrying out tasks ranging from basic daily and weekly inspections to electrical fault finding and fault repairs.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an Rail/Automotive/Plant mechanic to join our friendly team that provides Network Rail with seasonal treatment to keep the railway network running.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An NVQ Level 2 in a Maintenance or Engineering Discipline (or equivalent);
- Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship;
- Knowledge of and experience in the Rail Industry;
- Personal Track Safety.
