SM 2012 - Power Efficiency

23 April 2012 0 comments

Jonathan Garrett

With our heavy reliance on technology to do just about anything it’s near impossible to use zero energy whilst at work. But that hasn’t stopped our OpCos from trying!

Power Efficiency will make May a ‘Power-down’ month by engaging staff in different energy saving activities each week. For one week they’ll abandon the use of heating or air conditioning and open windows or layer up instead. And thanks to the lighter summer evenings, they won’t be switching on any lights in the office where possible! During another week, staff will make every effort to use public transport rather than using their cars.

These energy and money saving activities can be implemented at home and at the office, so why not try them out?
