Balfour Beatty awarded as one of the UK’s most responsible businesses

We’re delighted to be recognised by Business in the Community in this year’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) Index, scoring 88% and gaining a silver award as one of the UK’s most responsible businesses.

This is the first time Balfour Beatty has participated in the CR Index and reflects our approach to embedding responsible business practices across our global operations. We have developed significant programmes in five key areas: our ethics and values, 2020 sustainability vision, our people, our zero harm approach to safety and respecting our communities.

Our continued participation in external indices such the CR Index, helps us to track our progress in the pursuit of our goal of being recognised as a leading international provider of infrastructure.

For further details of our responsible business practices, look out for our 2011 sustainability report published on 5th April 2012.
