Training and Development
You'll be encouraged to continue your professional development throughout your career, and with our award-winning training you'll have every chance to reach your full potential.
This starts with an induction that's specific to your business area, followed by a Group event (usually in March) bringing you together with around 150 other graduates from across the UK. There you'll find out more about our activities, successes and opportunities - as well as gaining the opportunity to meet some of the most senior managers in the Group.
Throughout your career, the same experts who've helped us establish an industry-wide reputation for excellence will be the ones that you'll learn from each day. Training may involve moving to different projects, a number of structured placements, or even a secondment to another company. Better still, you'll be supported by an experienced mentor at every stage.
Most of our development schemes lead to professional qualifications too. Engineering, Construction and Quantity Surveying graduates, for example, will work towards accreditation from one of the major engineering institutions (ICE, IMechE, IET, CIBSE), or CIOB, RICS, ICES.
There will also be a range of courses and seminars to support your development. Some (for instance, covering personal and people skills) are attended by graduates from across the Group. Others will be specific to your Operating Company and role. But, whatever your discipline, you won't focus solely on your technical and commercial development; you'll be helped to build impressive management skills too.
