She joins from Railway Safety, the company formed in December 2000 from Railtrack’s Safety and Standards Directorate, and will report to Chief Executive, Mike Welton. She will join Balfour Beatty in January 2002.
Before joining the railway industry, Ms Brearley was a founding partner of Risk Solutions, the management consultancy practice of AEA Technology. In this capacity, she had extensive consulting experience with blue chip clients in a range of sectors including petrochemicals, transport, construction and healthcare.
