Balfour Beatty plc, the international engineering, construction and services group, has secured a position on six construction frameworks through its contractor Mansell, with a total value of more than £250 million.
Mansell is one of 11 contractors to be appointed by Devon County Council on the Construction Framework South West (CFSW).
The framework will involve new-build and refurbishment projects over the next four years including a range of educational facilities, civic buildings, leisure facilities, emergency service premises and health service buildings. The framework will also be available to other local and public bodies in the South West including Avon, Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
In addition, Mansell has recently secured a place on five frameworks which will generate revenue over the next five years.
These are with the Olympic Delivery Authority (general builder framework), East Midlands Property Alliance (EMPA) (minor works framework), London Overground Rail Operations Ltd (LOROL) (station refurbishment programme), as well as with leading housing association, Moat (framework lot 2) and the Walsall Housing Group (new build framework, lots A and B).
Commenting today, Balfour Beatty Chief Executive Ian Tyler said:
"We are delighted to have been selected to play a significant role in these construction framework contracts and look forward to delivering these key infrastructure projects to our customers."
