The Monteray joint venture, of which support services and construction company Haden Building Management is a shareholder, has secured a new facilities management contract with BT worth in excess of £500 million.
The six-year, total facilities management service contract, which runs until April 2014, will be operated jointly by the Monteray shareholders, Haden Building Management, Carillion and Reliance Integrated Services. It entails the provision of services to BT's 7,000 buildings and 100,000 staff located throughout Britain.
The contract, which has the potential to be extended for a further four years, includes the opportunity for the joint venture to provide additional variable services worth up to £30 million a year.

About Monteray
Monteray Ltd was formed in April 2000 as a joint venture between Carillion Services (51%), Haden Building Management (24.5%) and Reliance Integrated Services (24.5%) as part of a plan – Project Jaguar – to revolutionise the provision of facilities management services to BT.
Monteray took full responsibility for the provision of services to BT properties in April 2001 as part of an initial 5-year contract worth approximately £500m, extended to 2009 from April 2006. Monteray provides services ranging from cleaning and security to building and grounds maintenance and beyond. The 7,000 (approximate) buildings include offices, computer centres, research centres, telephone engineering centres, motor transport workshops, telephone exchanges and the landmark BT Tower in London.
To date, Monteray has won the PFM Partners in Facilities Management Award 2003 and PFM Partners in Business Change 2006 in partnership with BT, as well as being awarded the RoSPA Gold Award in Occupational Health & Safety in 2007.
