Balfour Beatty plc Non-Executive Director
10 Nov 2005Balfour Beatty plc announces today that Sir David Wright is to retire as a non-executive Director of the company on the expiry, on 31 December 2005, of his initial three-year appointment, due to the increasing pressure of his other commitments.
Sir David Wright is Vice-Chairman of Barclays Capital and also a Vice-President of the China-Britain Business Council and a member of the International Advisory Board of All Nippon Airways. He became a Director in January 2003.
Commenting on this Board change today, Balfour Beatty Chairman, Sir David John, said:
“We have benefited greatly from Sir David’s experience and knowledge in the three years he has been on the Board and wish him well for the future.”
