Balfour Beatty analyst event

Balfour Beatty plc, the international engineering, construction and services group, announces that it is hosting an analyst day in Yorkshire today, Tuesday 1 November.

The purpose of this event is to provide analysts with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of a number of aspects of Balfour Beatty's core business and some key drivers of its long-term growth. Visits will be made to the M1-A1 Link Road PFI scheme, the North Yorkshire County Council road maintenance contract, Balfour Beatty Utilities' headquarters and the Rotherham Schools PFI project.

Presentations will be made by a number of senior Balfour Beatty managers on subjects including the Group's position and prospects in the UK road maintenance, the UK water and gas utilities and the privately financed education markets. These will appear on the company's website, www.balfourbeatty.com, as soon as possible after the conclusion of the event.

No new material information will be disclosed, nor will there be any statement on current trading.
