Senior management appointments at Balfour Beatty
15 Sep 2004Balfour Beatty, the international engineering, construction and services group, announces today two new senior management appointments, effective 4 October, following the recent announcement that Ian Tyler, currently Chief Operating Officer, is to succeed Mike Welton as Group Chief Executive at the end of 2004.
Brian Osborne, 52, currently Managing Director of Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd (BBCEL), becomes one of three Group Managing Directors. He will take responsibility for Balfour Beatty Power Networks, Balfour Beatty Utilities, RCS, Stent Foundations, Gammon, Balfour Beatty Dutco and Balfour Beatty Sakti. He will also be responsible for BBCEL.
Brian Osborne is to be succeeded as Managing Director of BBCEL, the Group's £500 million turnover subsidiary, by Andrew McNaughton, currently General Manager, Major Projects Infrastructure, a division of BBCEL. McNaughton, who is 40, was UK Civil Engineering Manager of the year in 2002.
