Balfour Beatty is a leader in the UK Public Private Partnerships (PPP) market and has extended its expertise into developing PPP markets in the US, Far East and mainland Europe.
Balfour Beatty Capital was established in the mid-1990s and is a major investor in the health, education and transport sectors. The company is looking to further increase its UK PFI investment base and pursue new markets.
We are selective about the PPP/PFI sectors in which we participate and the particular projects we pursue. We have dedicated businesses working in the education, healthcare, roads and infrastructure markets.
New businesses have also been established to pursue opportunities in the US, Germany and South-East Asia - Balfour Beatty Capital Inc, Balfour Beatty Capital GmbH and Gammon Capital.
Our key projects include University College Hospital London, Birmingham New Hospitals, Stoke Schools, Islington Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and the M1-A1 design-build-finance-operate (DBFO) contract.
Balfour Beatty's position in this market has been greatly assisted by its ability to deploy its constructing businesses in support of our concession companies. Our businesses also work for other concession companies in this sector.
