Heritage and Culture
Balfour Beatty provides project management, construction and renovation services to both public and private customers.
Our heritage and cultural projects include museums, commercial premises, national treasures, monuments and memorials, such as the Natural History Museum and the British Museum in London.
We are experienced at working with important conservation partners such as English Heritage. For example, Balfour Beatty Management's subsidiary, Heery, is project managing the two-year Cutty Sark Conservation Project, a key national heritage project.
Balfour Kilpatrick, Balfour Beatty Refurbishment and Mansell work on projects requiring restoration and conservation, extensions, new build and modernisation. Recent work includes a new reception and ticketing area at Edinburgh Castle and restoration work at the Houses of Parliament.
In the US, Heery International has provided its construction management expertise on a range of projects, from Atlanta History Center Museum to the National Archives Building in Washington DC. Balfour Beatty Construction US is building the Pentagon Memorial in Virginia, the new Capitol Visitor Center in Washington DC and has completed the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Virginia.
